In an educational and faith-based gesture aimed at instilling a love for volunteer work and reverence for the Houses of Allah in the hearts of the youth, “Al-Jeel Al-Waed Kindergarten and School” launched a volunteer initiative titled “Swaed Al-Khair” (Arms of Good), inspired by the Prophet’s saying: “Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah—even if it be like the nest of a sandgrouse—Allah will build for him a house in Paradise; how much more so for one who cares for its cleanliness!”

Field Visit and Active Participation
A delegation of school children conducted a field visit to “Noura Thunayan Al-Zah Mosque.” Wearing matching shirts bearing the initiative’s logo, the children enthusiastically distributed gloves and cleaning tools among themselves with great excitement.

Diverse Volunteer Activities
The visit witnessed the children’s active participation in several activities to serve the mosque and care for its facilities, which included:

Cleaning Qurans and Furniture: Carefully wiping and polishing the Holy Qurans and wooden reading stands, in addition to dusting windows, doors, and wooden libraries.

Caring for Carpets and the Prayer Hall: Using vacuum cleaners and manual tools to clean the mosque’s carpets, and neatly rearranging the furniture and prayer seating.

Perfuming and Incensing: The children concluded their activities by scenting the corners of the mosque with oud and perfume, and spraying air fresheners to spread pleasant aromas throughout the prayer hall.

A Promising Educational Message
This initiative is part of the kindergarten’s extracurricular activities, which go beyond classroom learning to cultivate children who understand the value of giving and their responsibility toward their community and sacred spaces from an early age.
